Vera’s Line

1. Overview of the Service


Vera’s Line is a paid, non-therapeutic conversational listening service provided by phone. The service offers a calm, attentive presence for conversation and listening only.


By using Vera’s Line, you acknowledge and agree that the service is intended for personal conversation and listening, and nothing more.


2. What Vera’s Line Is — and Is Not


Vera’s Line is not:


  • medical care
     
  • mental health therapy
     
  • counseling or psychotherapy
     
  • crisis intervention
     
  • legal, financial, or professional advice
     

Please be aware: As seriously as we take every person's conversation, their story, vision, dreams, adventures, accomplishments, disappointments, rewarding experiences, sad experiences, regrets,  life's roller coaster rides,  the highs in life like success and joy, the lows like failure or sadness, the good, the bad or the ugly... Vera’s Line does not diagnose, treat, advise, prescribe, or provide professional services of any kind and Vera's Line employees do not hold any specialty or professional license, certificate or skill to perform such duties except to provide conversational listening with a heart and open mind. 


The service is not a substitute for licensed medical, mental health, legal, or emergency care as we are not licensed, certified, credentialed, trained or qualified to give such care.  


Vera’s Line exists to provide space for conversational listening — nothing more, nothing less.



3. Emergency & Crisis Situations


Vera’s Line is not equipped to handle emergencies or crisis situations.


If you are experiencing:


  • a medical emergency
     
  • an emotional crisis
     
  • thoughts of harming yourself or others
     

Please contact local emergency services immediately or reach out to a qualified crisis hotline in your area.


Calls to Vera’s Line should not be used in place of emergency or crisis support.


4. Eligibility


You must be 21 years of age or older to use Vera’s Line.


By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.


5. Payments & Billing


  • Vera’s Line is billed on a per-minute basis
     
  • Charges begin when the call connects
     
  • Charges end when the call disconnects
     
  • All fees are clearly disclosed prior to the call*
     

All payments are final. No refunds are provided for completed calls.


*To protect all callers AND Vera's Line from fraud, deceptional charges, questionable charges and/or requests for refunds, Vera's Line has strategically placed the "per minute" fee  in several places BEFORE you place the call. 


6. Acceptable Use


Vera’s Line is intended to provide a respectful, calm conversational listening experience.


The following are not permitted:


  • sexually explicit or adult content
     
  • harassment, threats, or abusive language
     
  • solicitation or requests for advice, diagnosis, or instruction
     
  • illegal activity
     

Vera’s Line reserves the right to end any call that violates these boundaries.


7. Confidentiality & Privacy


Calls to Vera’s Line are treated with discretion and respect.


However, to protect "You" and "Vera's Line," please be advised that  “We at Vera’s Line honor each conversation with care and discretion. While every effort is made to protect your privacy, promising absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed due to but not limited to the following:


  • Legal exceptions can exist (e.g., safety concerns) 


  • Technology is never 100% guaranteed 


  • Vera's Line is not a licensed confidential service like therapy, physicians office, etc.
     
  • Calls may be monitored or reviewed for quality, training, or compliance purposes
     
  • Information may be disclosed if required by law
     

No medical or therapeutic records are created or maintained.


Please refer to the Privacy Policy for additional information.


8. Limitation of Liability


By using Vera’s Line, you agree that:


  • the service is provided “as is”
     
  • Vera’s Line is not responsible for outcomes resulting from conversations
     
  • Vera’s Line shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service
     

Use of the service is voluntary and at your own discretion.


9. Changes to These Terms


Vera’s Line may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.


Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updates.
